The 57-day pilgrimage to the 3,880-metre-high Amarnath cave shrine begins on July 3 via the 48-km Nunwan-Pahalgam route and the 14-km Baltal route . The first batch of pilgrims will leave Bhagwati Nagar Yatri Niwas on July 2 .

Minhas said 10 token counters have been set up at the Tawi Riverfront , which will serve as the main facilitation centre. Additional registration counters will operate at Geeta Bhawan , Ram Mandir , and Bhagwati Nagar .

The administration has arranged accommodation for around 4,000 pilgrims , over 100 toilets and bathing units , 24-hour langars , bedding, fans, sanitation facilities, security, and traffic management to ensure a smooth pilgrimage.

Appealing to the public, Minhas urged transport operators, traders, shopkeepers, and hoteliers to uphold Dogra hospitality by assisting pilgrims and avoiding overcharging. He also said the administration plans to encourage devotees to explore Jammu's religious and tourist attractions, including Bahu Fort , Ranbireshwar Temple , Raghunath Temple , and Akhnoor Fort .

Minhas assured that no roads will be closed during this year's yatra, allowing normal movement in the city.

He clarified that every pilgrim must collect a token in person , with one token issued per eligible devotee . Children below 13 years and persons above 70 years are not eligible for the pilgrimage. He also warned of strict action against fake token and registration scams, urging pilgrims to use only authorised registration centres.
