₹2 Crore Film Crosses ₹360 Crore Worldwide As ‘Hanuman Ansh’ Creates Box Office History
Vishal Chaturvedi’s Hanuman Ansh, a biopic on spiritual figure Neem Karoli Baba, continues its extraordinary theatrical run, showing little sign of slowing down even after 45 days in cinemas.
Starring Shobhinaw Satyaa, the film has now crossed the ₹360-crore mark in worldwide gross, adding another major milestone to its remarkable box-office journey. In India, the film collected an estimated ₹13.75 crore net on Day 45, a 41 per cent jump that pushed its domestic total beyond ₹250 crore.
The film’s performance is particularly striking given its reported production budget of less than ₹2 crore. Despite its modest making cost, Hanuman Ansh has managed to sustain strong audience interest deep into its theatrical run and is now racing towards the ₹400-crore worldwide club.
Its seventh-weekend performance has added another record to the film’s growing list of achievements. Hanuman Ansh collected around ₹28.5 crore net over its seventh-weekend, reportedly making it the biggest seventh-weekend grosser and putting it ahead of films such as Kantara and Dhurandhar at the same stage of their runs.
The film’s continued momentum has been driven by strong word-of-mouth, family audiences and sustained interest in its spiritual theme. Its combination of spirituality, humour and emotion appears to have helped it connect with audiences well beyond the initial release period.
The movie has also benefited from high occupancy and additional screens, an unusual development for a film that has already spent more than six weeks in theatres. Continued family viewings have further helped maintain its momentum, allowing exhibitors to retain or expand shows.
Having crossed ₹360 crore worldwide, Hanuman Ansh has now entered another phase of its box-office journey, with the ₹400-crore mark emerging as its next major milestone. Its unusually long theatrical run has made the film one of the year’s notable box-office stories, particularly given its reported ₹2-crore production budget.
