20 Years, Countless Memories: Suriya and Jyotika Renew Their Wedding Vows

Actor couple Suriya and Jyotika have marked 20 years of marriage by renewing their wedding vows in the presence of family and close friends.

Pictures and videos from the intimate ceremony have surfaced online and are being widely shared on social media. The couple also posted moments from the celebration, along with a heartfelt note reflecting on their two-decade journey together.

Calling the occasion “The Sequel”, Suriya and Jyotika said the vow renewal was not meant to celebrate a perfect marriage, but the relationship they have built through years of adjustments, understanding and sacrifices.

“THE SEQUEL - A vow renewal, celebrating our 20 years of love and war,” the couple wrote, describing their journey as a celebration of their imperfections and the people they have become for each other.

Jyotika also shared her personal vows, offering a glimpse into her perspective on marriage, family and life. She said she wanted to remain happy by choosing to focus on the positive side of life and expressed gratitude for having a partner who respects her deeply.

She also spoke warmly about their children, saying they have given her life meaning and a reason to live. Jyotika further emphasised the importance of gratitude and health, describing good health as the “only true asset” people build in life.

Her vows also reflected on the imperfections that are part of existence. Drawing an analogy with nature, she said everything is incomplete and that what matters is how people choose to fill the gaps.

Suriya and Jyotika, who married in 2006, have two children, daughter Diya and son Dev. The couple have often remained in the public eye while maintaining a relatively private family life.

On the professional front, Suriya has several projects lined up. His upcoming film with director Jithu Madhavan is titled Scene. He is also set to collaborate with director TJ Gnanavel on another project backed by Hombale Films.
