₹20,000 Crore Allocated for Hyderabad Development: Deputy CM Bhatti
The state government has demonstrated its commitment to the development of Hyderabad, revealing that ₹20,000 crore has been allocated for the city’s growth within just two years, a historic level of investment, Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka said. He made the announcement while addressing the inauguration of the CREDAI Property Exhibition at HITEX on Friday, where he was the chief guest, accompanied by Minister Uttam Kumar Reddy .
“Our government is executing development plans in a structured manner to make Hyderabad competitive not only with major Indian cities but also at the global level,” Bhatti Vikramarka stated. He detailed the allocations: ₹1,950.52 crore for projects under the GHMC , ₹12,500 crore under the Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board , and ₹4,336.5 crore under HMDA . Several projects have already been completed, with many others progressing rapidly, he added.
As part of Telangana Rising Vision–2047 , the government is implementing plans centred on economic growth in the core urban region through the CURE, PURE, REAR strategy. “Hyderabad is emerging as one of India’s fastest-growing cities in terms of investment, talent, and living standards,” the Deputy CM said.
Highlighting a historic administrative decision, he noted that 27 local urban bodies in the Hyderabad periphery have been merged into the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation , enabling a comprehensive development approach, uniform citizen services, and coordinated planning within the Outer Ring Road area.
Bhatti Vikramarka reiterated that the government’s goal is to transform Hyderabad into a true world-class city, guided by democracy, social justice, and constitutional values. He assured that the government is prepared to address issues in the real estate sector and emphasised that the presence of senior minister Uttam Kumar Reddy , despite a busy municipal election schedule, underscores the administration’s commitment to the sector.
“Hyderabad will be developed as a global city on the basis of constitutional values and social justice,” he reaffirmed.
