‘Aadarsha Kutumbam’ Postponed? ‘Thella Kaagitham’ Takes October 2 Slot

Venkatesh and Trivikram Srinivas’ much-awaited ‘Aadarsha Kutumbam House No: 47 – AK 47’ appears to be heading for a release date change. The family entertainer was earlier locked for October 2, 2026, but the latest reports suggest that the makers are now planning to move the film to a later date.

According to the latest industry buzz, October 9 is currently the frontrunner, while October 16 is also being considered. However, the makers have not officially announced the postponement or confirmed a new theatrical release date yet. The development comes after the film was originally positioned as a major Gandhi Jayanti release.

The release date speculation has naturally caught attention because ‘Aadarsha Kutumbam’ is one of the most anticipated Telugu films of the year. The project marks the first full-fledged directorial collaboration between Venkatesh and Trivikram Srinivas, a combination that has generated considerable curiosity among Telugu cinema audiences. Trivikram had previously written dialogues for several memorable Venkatesh films, making their reunion particularly interesting.

The film has also been building its buzz through a series of character introductions. Venkatesh plays Chittibabu, who is presented as the man of the house and someone deeply involved in taking care of his family. Srinidhi Shetty plays Swarna, while Nara Rohith, Nivetha Pethuraj, Yuvina, Raj Prajwal, Rao Ramesh, Satya, Brahmaji, Udaybir Sandhu and Vennela Kishore are also part of the ensemble cast.

The first character glimpse offered an intriguing look at the film’s tone. Chittibabu is portrayed as a responsible and affectionate family man, while the promotional material also hints that the seemingly perfect household could have secrets beneath the surface. That mix of family emotions, humour and action appears to be central to Trivikram’s latest outing.

Another fresh talking point is the reported inclusion of a remix of Venkatesh’s popular ‘Dandalayya Undralayya’ from ‘Coolie No. 1’. The song is particularly associated with festive celebrations, and reports suggest that Thaman will give the classic number a new treatment for ‘Aadarsha Kutumbam’. The update has added a nostalgic element to the film’s promotions, especially for Venkatesh’s longtime fans.

There has also been an important change in the music department. Thaman is now composing the film’s music, after Harshavardhan Rameshwar was initially associated with the project. Reports in April said Thaman had taken over the music responsibilities, bringing his successful collaboration with Trivikram back into focus.
