After Overcoming Health Challenges, Samantha Ruth Prabhu Embraces Pregnancy at 39

Actor Samantha Ruth Prabhu is expecting her first child with husband, filmmaker Raj Nidimoru , her spokesperson confirmed, news that arrives barely six months after the couple's wedding and marks a defining personal milestone in the actor's much discussed health journey.

The spokesperson said Samantha is currently in her first trimester, with the baby due in December 2026. Speculation had been building for days after a video from the success celebrations of her film Maa Inti Bangaaram , which Samantha also co-produced as her second production, showed her with a visible baby bump alongside Nidimoru.

Samantha and Nidimoru, one half of the acclaimed director duo Raj and DK , first worked together on The Family Man 2 and later Citadel Honey Bunny, with their professional partnership reportedly turning romantic by 2023. The couple married in a private Bhuta Shuddhi Vivaha ceremony on December 1, 2025, at the Linga Bhairavi Temple inside the Isha Yoga Centre in Coimbatore, an event Samantha herself announced with wedding photographs on social media.

The pregnancy news carries added weight given Samantha's public battle with myositis , a rare autoimmune muscle disorder diagnosed in 2022 that forced her off film sets for months. She has since credited disciplined strength training and a reset of old career patterns for restoring her physical health, often describing the period as the most transformative of her professional life.

Samantha was previously married to actor Naga Chaitanya , who has since married actor Sobhita Dhulipala. Neither Samantha nor Nidimoru has personally confirmed the pregnancy on their own social platforms so far.
