Ahan Shetty To Begin Shooting For Action Drama ‘Sanki’ In Bhopal
Actor Ahan Shetty is set to begin shooting for his upcoming film ‘Sanki’, an action drama directed by Tinu Suresh Desai, known for films such as ‘Rustom’ and ‘Mission Raniganj’.
The film, written by Gyanendra Vasudev, is described by its makers as a love story at its core, combining emotional depth with intense action sequences.
Shetty will commence shooting for the project in Bhopal on Friday, according to a press release issued by the makers. Desai is currently in the city with the crew, making the necessary preparations ahead of the production schedule.
The makers have kept the film’s subject and storyline under wraps, offering little information about the characters or the narrative.
‘Sanki’ is being produced by We The People, Roaring River Productions and Pals & Peers Entertainment. The film is scheduled for a theatrical release in the first half of 2027.
Shetty, son of actor Suniel Shetty, made his acting debut with the romantic action film ‘Tadap’ in 2021, opposite Tara Sutaria. The film marked his entry into the Hindi film industry and introduced him to audiences in a role combining romance and action.
He was most recently seen in the war drama ‘Border 2’, where he portrayed Lieutenant Commander Mahendra Singh Rawat. The film also featured Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan and Diljit Dosanjh.
Apart from ‘Sanki’, Shetty has several projects lined up. He will feature in filmmaker Vikram Bhatt’s ‘1920 Cold Winter’, along with other projects expected to begin production in 2027.
With ‘Sanki’, Shetty is set to explore another action-oriented role, this time in a story that brings together romance, emotional conflict and high-intensity sequences. Further details about the film’s cast, plot and production schedule are yet to be announced by the makers.
