Akshay Kumar, Saif Ali Khan Groove To ‘Haiwaan’ Title Track
Ahead of the theatrical release of ‘Haiwaan’, the makers unveiled the film’s title track, ‘Main Toh Nahi Haiwaan’, on Monday. The energetic song features Akshay Kumar, Saif Ali Khan, Shriya Pilgaonkar and Saiyami Kher, adding a lively musical touch to the upcoming action thriller.
The track has been composed by Pritam, with lyrics penned by Kumaar and vocals by Raghav Chaitanya. Sharing the music video on social media, Akshay Kumar wrote, “The darkness now has a rhythm of its own,” while announcing that ‘Haiwaan’ will arrive in cinemas on September 11.
Directed by Priyadarshan, the film marks the much-awaited on-screen reunion of Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan after more than a decade. The actors previously shared the screen in ‘Tashan’ in 2008.
Priyadarshan has also addressed comparisons between ‘Haiwaan’ and his acclaimed Malayalam film ‘Oppam’. The filmmaker stressed that the new movie should not be considered a carbon copy of ‘Oppam’, saying he had deliberately approached the story differently. He chose not to reveal details about the changes, preferring audiences to discover them when they watch the film.
The director also revealed that he had initially planned to make the project with Saif Ali Khan before getting the opportunity to bring Akshay Kumar on board. Explaining Akshay’s unusual casting, Priyadarshan said he wanted to present the actor in a different role, particularly after their successful collaborations in comedy films.
Produced by Venkat K Narayana and Shailaja Desai Fenn under KVN Productions and Thespian Films, ‘Haiwaan’ is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on September 11, 2026. The film’s music is released by Zee Music Company.
