Allu Arjun May Play a Cop in Lokesh Kanagaraj’s AA23

Allu Arjun’s upcoming collaboration with filmmaker Lokesh Kanagaraj, tentatively titled AA23, is generating fresh buzz following reports about the actor’s possible character in the highly anticipated project.

According to a recent report, Allu Arjun may portray a police officer in the film. The claim has not been officially confirmed by the actor, Lokesh or the production team. The speculation has gained attention because Lokesh has previously expressed interest in making a cop-centric film inspired by movies such as Kaakha Kaakha, Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu and Saamy.

The reported police avatar could offer Allu Arjun a different kind of role. The actor has previously appeared as a police officer in Race Gurram, but AA23 could potentially present him in a more serious cop character if the latest reports prove accurate.

However, reports about Allu Arjun playing three roles should not be linked to AA23. That speculation concerns Raaka, his upcoming film with director Atlee, where he is reportedly set to appear in multiple roles.

AA23 was officially announced in January 2026, bringing together Allu Arjun and Lokesh for the first time. Mythri Movie Makers is producing the film, with Anirudh Ravichander composing the music. The project is also known as LK7, and the makers had announced that filming would begin in 2026.

Further reports have suggested that Allu Arjun will sport a never-seen-before look in the film. Several of his close associates have also joined the project as co-producers alongside Mythri Movie Makers.

AA23 faced speculation about a possible delay earlier this year, but writer Rathna Kumar indicated that the project was still moving forward.

With the story and character details being kept under wraps, the reported cop role remains unconfirmed. More official information is expected as the film moves closer to production.
