The Andhra Pradesh government is set to disburse the first instalment of financial assistance for the 2026-27 financial year under its flagship Annadata Sukhibhava–PM Kisan scheme on Saturday, benefiting nearly 4.69 million farmer families across the state.

Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu will formally launch the disbursement from Linganguntla village in Palnadu district's Chilakaluripet mandal, transferring the funds directly into beneficiaries' bank accounts through the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) system.

The scheme, one of the government's key welfare initiatives under its 'Super Six' promises , provides annual investment support of Rs 20,000 to eligible farmer families. Of this amount, Rs 14,000 is contributed by the state government, while Rs 6,000 is provided by the Centre under the PM-KISAN Scheme programme.

According to official figures, 46,85,838 farmer families will receive assistance in the current phase. The beneficiaries include around 45.69 lakh land-owning farmers and 1.16 lakh tribal cultivators who farm land under the provisions of the Forest Rights Act.

In the first instalment being released on Saturday, the government will transfer a total of Rs 3,125.47 crore . The state's share amounts to Rs 2,342.92 crore , while the Centre's contribution stands at Rs 782.55 crore .

Each eligible farmer family will receive Rs 7,000 in this phase, comprising Rs 5,000 from the state government and Rs 2,000 from the Centre . The annual assistance is distributed in three installments during the financial year.

The government said the programme is aimed at easing the financial burden on farmers by helping them meet cultivation and input costs. Officials noted that substantial support had already been extended through the scheme during the previous year, with a total of Rs 8,985.41 crore distributed to beneficiaries.

The latest disbursement is expected to provide timely financial support to farmers ahead of the ongoing agricultural season, reinforcing the state's focus on farm welfare and rural development.
