Anirudh Ravichander-Kavya Maran Wedding Invite Costs Up To Rs 20,000
The wedding reception invitation of music composer Anirudh Ravichander and Sunrisers Hyderabad co-owner Kavya Maran has caught attention on social media. The invitation stands out for its wooden box, detailed artwork and vintage look. Reports say the couple is expected to marry in Greece in November, followed by a reception in Chennai.
Designed by Ranjani Iyengar, founder of Pink Whistle Man, the invitation is more than a wedding card. The ivory and powder-blue wooden box features around 10 to 12 hand-carved pieces, each painted by hand. It opens like a jewellery box and holds embossed stationery, blue silk ribbons and a vintage-style crest seal with wax detailing.
The box also comes with matching bags and gifts, including dry fruits and chocolates. Each invitation reportedly costs between Rs 15,000 and Rs 20,000.
In an interview with The Indian Express, Iyengar revealed that the project took nearly four months to develop. The team tried different designs, hinges and materials before settling on the final version. Some materials were sourced from different parts of India and may no longer be available. This makes it difficult to recreate the exact same box.
The couple was closely involved in the design process. They wanted something classic that guests could keep long after the celebrations. They also preferred the blue-and-white colour scheme over adding more colours. The design includes three-dimensional details that give the box a distinctive look.
The wedding is reportedly planned for November 10 and 11 in Greece, with close family and friends expected to attend. The Chennai reception is scheduled for November 21, 2026.
The guest list has also drawn attention, with reports naming Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C Joseph Vijay, actor Rajinikanth and Ajith Kumar among those invited. However, the wedding dates and guest arrangements have not been fully confirmed by the families.
