Music composer Anirudh Ravichander has bid an emotional farewell to Vijay, bringing the curtains down on one of Tamil cinema's most successful actor-composer collaborations after the release of Jana Nayagan, the superstar's final film before devoting himself fully to politics.

Talking to X, Anirudh shared a heartfelt message, describing their journey through Kaththi, Master, Beast, Leo and Jana Nayagan as "thoroughly amazing and emotional." Thanking Vijay for his "unlimited trust and memories," he added, "The music lives on," while posting a photograph of the duo from the song 'Thalapathy Katcheri' in Jana Nayagan. The post quickly went viral, with fans celebrating the duo's decade-long partnership.

Released on July 23, 2026, Jana Nayagan, directed by H. Vinoth, marks Vijay's 69th and final film. In the movie, he portrays a determined IPS officer, bringing to a close a remarkable 33-year film career before assuming office as Tamil Nadu Chief Minister after his Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) secured 108 Assembly seats in the 2026 Assembly elections.
