The Andhra Pradesh Government has expanded its Mana Mitra WhatsApp Governance platform by introducing SADAREM services, enabling persons with disabilities (PwDs) to book assessment slots and access related services directly through their smartphones. The initiative is aimed at making disability certification more accessible while reducing dependence on physical government offices.

Rolled out on the directions of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, the new feature allows beneficiaries to complete services that previously required visits to MeeSeva centres, Swarna Gram, or Swarna Ward Secretariats. According to the Real Time Governance Society (RTGS), the move is part of the state's broader push to deliver public services through digital platforms, ensuring greater convenience and faster service delivery.

The WhatsApp-based facility offers three key services— checking SADAREM slot availability, booking assessment appointments, and downloading SADAREM certificates. Citizens can access these services by sending a "Hi" message to the Mana Mitra WhatsApp number (9552300009). After selecting Citizen Services and navigating to SADAREM Services, users can choose the required option, enter the necessary details, and complete the process within minutes.

The SADAREM (Software for Assessment of Disabled for Access Rehabilitation and Empowerment) system plays a crucial role in the state's welfare framework by facilitating the medical assessment and certification of persons with disabilities. The digitally generated certificate serves as an essential document for availing various government benefits, including disability pensions, scholarships, assistive devices, healthcare support, education benefits, and employment reservations under central and state welfare schemes.

Officials said integrating these services into Mana Mitra will significantly reduce travel, paperwork, and waiting time, particularly for beneficiaries living in remote and rural areas or those facing mobility challenges. The initiative is also expected to improve transparency by allowing applicants to track slot availability in real time and access certificates digitally whenever required.

The latest addition further strengthens Mana Mitra, Andhra Pradesh's flagship WhatsApp Governance platform, which has steadily evolved into a one-stop digital gateway for a wide range of citizen services across multiple government departments. By bringing disability-related services onto a familiar messaging platform, the government aims to bridge the accessibility gap and promote inclusive, technology-driven governance.

The RTGS has urged eligible beneficiaries across the state to make use of the new digital facility, saying it reflects the government's commitment to delivering essential public services efficiently while ensuring that welfare reaches citizens with minimal effort and maximum convenience.
