
AP CM Vows Zero Tolerance for Political Violence
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has reaffirmed that law and order remains the government’s top priority, warning that anyone who breaks the law , regardless of political affiliation, will face strict action .
The statement follows the recent arrest of YSRCP leader Ambati Rambabu in Guntur and a tense protest outside former minister Jogi Ramesh’s residence in Ibrahimpatnam, Krishna district. On Monday, the Chief Minister held a high-level review meeting to assess the situation, emphasizing that violence has no place in a democracy and urging everyone to act constitutionally .
Responding to the incident outside Jogi Ramesh’s house, CM Naidu supported the police move to register an FIR (Crime No. 66/2026) against several TDP leaders . He stressed that political connections cannot shield anyone from accountability and directed authorities to take strict action under relevant IPC sections 189(2), 190, 292, and 324(4) .
The Chief Minister also addressed provocative statements by YSRCP leaders, urging all political parties to express differences peacefully . He asked party workers and leaders to remain calm and restrained , warning that anyone threatening public safety would face legal consequences .
Chandrababu Naidu called on all parties to act responsibly and protect democratic values . He reaffirmed that citizen safety is a top priority for his government and instructed officials to ensure police operations are strengthened to prevent untoward incidents .
