In a student-friendly initiative ahead of the upcoming NEET-UG examination , the Andhra Pradesh government has announced free bus travel for candidates appearing for the national medical entrance test on June 21.

According to Transport Minister Mandipalli Ramprasad Reddy , students will be allowed to travel free of cost on APSRTC buses by presenting their NEET hall tickets. The facility will be available for both onward and return journeys to examination centres.

To ensure smooth transportation on exam day, APSRTC has been instructed to make special arrangements for candidates across the state. The corporation is also planning to deploy additional bus services in locations expected to witness higher student turnout.

The government said the measure is aimed at easing travel concerns for aspirants and helping them reach their centres without inconvenience. For many students, particularly those travelling from smaller towns and rural areas, transportation can be a significant source of stress on examination day.

Officials have urged all eligible candidates to make use of the facility and carry their hall tickets while travelling. The initiative is expected to benefit thousands of students appearing for one of the country's most competitive entrance examinations.

With the examination date approaching, the state government hopes the free travel arrangement will allow students to focus on their performance rather than logistics, ensuring a smoother and more comfortable exam-day experience.
