Apple Releases Sixth Public Betas of iOS 27, iPadOS 27 and tvOS 27

Apple has released the sixth public beta versions of iOS 27, iPadOS 27, tvOS 27 and macOS Golden Gate, taking the company’s next-generation software closer to its expected public rollout.

The latest beta builds are available to users with compatible devices enrolled in the Apple Beta Software Program. The rollout comes a week after the fifth public betas and only hours after Apple seeded the eighth developer beta versions of its upcoming operating systems.

Users interested in testing the pre-release software can enrol through Apple’s beta programme and then access the updates through Settings > General > Software Update on compatible devices. The programme allows users to test upcoming software and provide feedback to Apple before the final versions are widely released.

The latest developer beta releases reportedly introduced no major new features, suggesting that Apple is entering the final phase of its testing process. At this stage, the company is expected to focus primarily on software stability, performance improvements and bug fixes ahead of the wider rollout.

The upcoming iOS 27 software cycle is set to bring a greater emphasis on Apple Intelligence and the new Siri AI experience. Apple says the upgraded assistant will offer more natural conversations, improved understanding of personal context and the ability to take actions across supported apps. The new Siri AI features are expected to expand the company’s broader push into artificial intelligence across its devices.

Apple is scheduled to hold a major product launch event on September 9, and the company is expected to move closer to the Release Candidate stage of software testing around that period. Release Candidate builds generally represent the final testing phase before updates are released to the public.

The sixth public betas therefore mark another important milestone as iOS 27, iPadOS 27, tvOS 27 and macOS Golden Gate approach their final release.
