Arvind Urges Telangana Government to Allocate 10 Acres for Kendriya Vidyalaya in Jagtial

Nizamabad MP Dharmapuri Arvind has welcomed the Telangana Cabinet's decision to allot land for the establishment of a Kendriya Vidyalaya in Chelgal village of Jagtial district, but has urged the state government to increase the allocation from five acres to 10 acres to ensure the institution's long-term growth and development.

In a letter addressed to Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy , the BJP MP said that while the government's decision to provide land for the school is a positive step, a larger campus would be essential to meet the educational needs of future generations.

Arvind pointed out that according to the guidelines of the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) , a standard Kendriya Vidyalaya campus outside metropolitan areas ideally requires at least 10 acres of land . He noted that adequate space is necessary not only for academic infrastructure but also for sports facilities, laboratories, and future expansion.

The MP stressed that educational institutions should be planned with a long-term vision rather than merely meeting minimum requirements. He said a spacious campus would help create a better learning environment and allow the school to accommodate growing student enrolment in the years ahead.

Highlighting the importance of quality educational infrastructure, Arvind said students in Jagtial deserve access to facilities that match the highest standards of the Kendriya Vidyalaya system. He added that providing sufficient land at the outset would help avoid constraints on future development and ensure that the institution can expand in line with evolving educational needs.
