Legendary playback singer Asha Bhosle’s final feature-film recording, ‘Ae Meri Zindagi, Tu Chhipi Hai Kahan’, has been released, adding an emotional note to what would have been the singer’s 93rd birth anniversary.

The song is part of the soundtrack of the upcoming Hindi family comedy-drama ‘Om Ka Hari’, directed by Harish Vyas. It was unveiled a day after the film’s music launch in Mumbai on September 7.

Bhosle, who passed away in December 2025, recorded the song in late 2023, when she was more than 90 years old. The track is officially recognised as her last song recorded for a feature film.

The accompanying music video includes behind-the-scenes footage from Bhosle’s recording session, giving fans a glimpse of the legendary singer at work. In the footage, Bhosle explains that she agreed to record the song after hearing it, saying she liked it so much that she kept singing it.

The song’s release has special significance for the makers of ‘Om Ka Hari’. Actor Anshuman Jha described Bhosle as an integral part of generations of music listeners and said the team felt “deeply privileged” that the film has a place in her extraordinary musical journey.

Director Harish Vyas also called the release a special moment, saying the film is fortunate to carry “a little piece” of Bhosle’s musical legacy forward.

The film’s September 7 music launch brought together cast members Raghubir Yadav, Soni Razdan, Anshuman Jha and Ayesha Kapur. Yadav also performed two songs from the film during the event.

The soundtrack additionally features voices including Amit Kumar, son of legendary singer Kishore Kumar, along with Paresh Pahuja and Raghubir Yadav.

‘Om Ka Hari’ stars Raghubir Yadav as Hari Prasad and Anshuman Jha as his estranged son, Om. Soni Razdan and Ayesha Kapur also feature in the film.

The story follows Hari Prasad after a heart attack scare convinces him that he has only a few days left to live. He then sets out on a chaotic road trip to Varanasi with his estranged son, bringing years of unresolved emotions and family tensions to the surface.

‘Om Ka Hari’ is scheduled to release in cinemas across India on September 18.
