Aspirants Season 3 to stream on Prime Video from March 13, makers release new poster
Streaming service Prime Video on Monday announced that the third season of its acclaimed Hindi drama series Aspirants , produced by The Viral Fever , will premiere on the platform on March 13.
Actors Naveen Kasturia, Shivankit Singh Parihar, Abhilash Thapliyal, Sunny Hinduja, Namita Dubey and Tengam Celine reprise their roles , while Jatin Goswami joins the cast as a new addition . Directed by Deepesh Sumitra Jagdish, the series will stream exclusively on Prime Video in India and in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide , according to an official press release.
“Aspirants” follows the journey of three friends, Abhilash, Guri and SK, as they prepare for the UPSC civil services examination in Delhi’s Old Rajinder Nagar. Moving between their formative student years and their present-day lives, the series explores friendship, ambition, failure and the emotional cost of tying one’s identity to a single high-stakes exam .
The third season tracks IAS officer Abhilash across two parallel timelines . In the present, an inquiry is launched against him following allegations by ALC Sandeep Ohlan, straining his personal relationships with Deepa, Guri, Dhairya, SK and Sandeep, while also disrupting his professional ambitions amid the emergence of a powerful new rival . In the past, after qualifying for the IRS, a younger Abhilash makes one final attempt at the IAS, relocating to Mukherjee Nagar and navigating fresh friendships, conflicts and challenges.
Manish Menghani of Amazon Prime Video India said the series’ emotional connect and long partnership with The Viral Fever have helped expand its reach globally. TVF’s Vijay Koshy said the new season probes a pivotal phase in Abhilash’s life, balancing his final IAS attempt with present-day consequences.
“Aspirants” originally premiered on YouTube in 2021 before its second season moved to Prime Video in 2023. The series has since earned widespread praise for its realistic portrayal of civil services aspirants and the intense pressures of competitive examinations in India.
