‘Avatar: Seven Havens’ Trailer Teases Dark New Chapter After ‘Legend of Korra’

The latest trailer for ‘Avatar: Seven Havens’ has unveiled more details about the next animated chapter in the Avatar universe, introducing a new Avatar and a dramatically changed world following the events of ‘The Legend of Korra’.

The series centres on Pavi, an Earthbender who discovers that she has become the new Avatar, succeeding Korra. However, her journey begins under extraordinary circumstances as a devastating world-altering catastrophe has left civilization fractured and survivors struggling to rebuild.

Pavi's story is closely tied to her twin, with the siblings set to uncover secrets surrounding their past and the mysterious disaster that transformed their world. The new Avatar must also confront dangers from both humans and spirits while trying to protect the remaining communities.

The title refers to the Seven Havens, the surviving settlements that represent some of the last places where people have found refuge after the catastrophe. Unlike previous Avatars, Pavi enters a world where the Avatar is not universally regarded as a protector. Instead, she is viewed by some as a threat linked to humanity's destruction.

Created by Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko, the original creators of Avatar: The Last Airbender, the series has been ordered for 26 half-hour episodes, split into two 13-episode books. It is being developed through Avatar Studios and Nickelodeon and continues the franchise's animated storytelling.

‘Avatar: Seven Havens’ will premiere on Paramount+ on October 9, 2026, with the first three episodes releasing on the same day. The trailer sets up a darker new chapter centred on identity, survival, family and the consequences of the Avatar's legacy.
