BLOCKBUSTER IPL DEAL! Hardik Pandya to Punjab, Arshdeep Singh to Mumbai?
Mumbai Indians and Punjab Kings are reportedly closing in on a blockbuster player exchange involving Hardik Pandya, Arshdeep Singh and Vishnu Vinod, in what could become one of the biggest trades ahead of the IPL 2027 season.
According to reports, Punjab Kings are in advanced negotiations with Mumbai Indians to bring the star Indian all-rounder into their squad. Under the proposed deal, Hardik could move to Punjab, while left-arm pacer Arshdeep Singh and wicketkeeper-batter Vishnu Vinod would head to Mumbai.
The potential exchange would address key squad requirements for both franchises. Punjab, coached by Ricky Ponting, are keen to strengthen their all-round options and believe Hardik’s ability to contribute with both bat and ball could provide a major boost. The move would also add an experienced international player to their setup.
For Mumbai Indians, acquiring Arshdeep would be a significant addition to their bowling attack. The left-arm pacer could form a formidable partnership with Jasprit Bumrah, giving the five-time champions greater variety and depth in their pace department. Vishnu Vinod would provide another wicketkeeping option.
However, Punjab are not the only franchise interested in Hardik. Rajasthan Royals have also explored a possible deal, with Yashasvi Jaiswal and Ravi Bishnoi reportedly featuring in discussions over a potential exchange.
Meanwhile, speculation surrounding Suryakumar Yadav’s future has also emerged, but reports indicate that the India T20 captain is expected to remain with Mumbai Indians.
With the IPL retention deadline set for November 17, negotiations are gathering pace. While Punjab appear to have gained an advantage, neither franchise has officially confirmed the proposed exchange.
If completed, the deal could significantly reshape the balance of power ahead of the next IPL season.
