Bode Ramachandra Yadav Blames Peddireddy Family for Punganur Attacks

Bharatiya Chaitanya Yuvajana (BCY) Party founder and national president Bode Ramachandra Yadav has held former minister Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy and his son, MP Mithun Reddy, responsible for the attacks in Punganur amid preparations for local body elections. He alleged that Mithun Reddy had conspired to organise the attacks and demanded a comprehensive investigation into the incidents.

Addressing the media in Punganur, Bode accused the Peddireddy family of encouraging rowdyism, land disputes and violent politics. He criticised the TDP-led state government, alleging that despite being in power, it had failed to curb violence in Punganur and was allowing the family to operate without accountability.

Bode claimed that while he was staging a protest, Mithun Reddy had held a late-night meeting with his supporters at a nearby guesthouse to plan the attacks. Stating that he was a direct witness to the alleged conspiracy, he demanded that the police identify everyone involved and initiate legal action.

He also recalled an earlier attack on his residence, during which vehicles were allegedly set on fire, and criticised the authorities for failing to take action. He further accused the government of ignoring alleged land irregularities in Madanapalle and encroachments on forest land in Pulicherla.

Bode alleged that an understanding between Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and the Peddireddy family was preventing action against those accused. He also criticised Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, claiming that his visits and public statements had not resulted in concrete action on the ground.

The BCY president urged the Election Commission and the police to intervene immediately and conduct a thorough investigation into the Punganur attacks. He challenged Chandrababu Naidu to demonstrate his commitment to fair elections by arresting Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy and Mithun Reddy and keeping them in custody until the local body elections conclude.
