BRS, BJP Plotting To Deny Quality Education To Students, Says MP Chamala

Bhuvanagiri MP Chamala Kiran Kumar Reddy has accused the BRS and BJP of deliberately politicising Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy’s proposed visits to the United States and London, alleging that the opposition parties were trying to undermine initiatives aimed at strengthening Telangana’s education system and attracting global investments.

Chamala said the Chief Minister’s engagements in the US were focused on improving the quality of engineering education and creating better opportunities for students. Revanth Reddy held discussions with professors and academic experts from leading institutions, including Harvard University, MIT and Virginia Tech, with an emphasis on upgrading educational standards, promoting skill development and addressing the gap between academic learning and industry requirements.

The Congress MP alleged that the BRS and BJP were opposing development projects such as the Regional Ring Road (RRR), Musi rejuvenation and Future City out of political considerations. He claimed the opposition feared that increased foreign investment and development in Telangana would weaken their political position.

Chamala also criticised BJP state president Ramachandra Rao and MPs Dharmapuri Arvind and Raghunandan Rao, alleging that they made statements about the Chief Minister’s foreign tour without adequate information from the Union Ministry of External Affairs and later changed their positions after learning the facts.

He demanded that Union Ministers G. Kishan Reddy and Bandi Sanjay explain why they would oppose initiatives that could bring reputed educational institutions and investment opportunities to Telangana.

Targeting the previous BRS government, Chamala alleged that it had failed to adequately address the needs of engineering students during its decade in power. He also recalled former Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao’s earlier claims about transforming Hyderabad and Karimnagar into global cities.

Chamala said the people of Telangana would reject attempts by opposition parties to obstruct the state’s development and prevent students from gaining access to quality education, skills and employment opportunities.
