A blockbuster women’s singles final awaits at the BWF World Championships as defending champion Akane Yamaguchi takes on world No. 1 An Se-young, with both players chasing a landmark achievement.

Yamaguchi booked her place in the final with a convincing 21-12, 21-17 win over Thailand’s Pornpawee Chochuwong. The Japanese star is now one victory away from becoming the first women’s singles player to win four World Championships titles.
