CarzBazzar has crossed the milestone of 1,000 cars stocked within six months, marking rapid expansion for the Ahmedabad-based automotive technology company as it seeks to build a technology-driven ecosystem around India's pre-owned automobile market. The company has also reported a ₹150-crore valuation and a network of more than 1,500 automobile dealers connected to its ecosystem.

The milestone comes as India's used-car industry undergoes a structural shift from a fragmented, informal market towards an organised and technology-enabled ecosystem. A 2026 Mobility Intelligence Report by Autocar India and Spinny estimates that the used-car market is 1.39 times the size of the new-car market, growing at 11–13% annually, while the organised segment is expanding at more than 20%. Redseer estimates that nearly 80% of transactions remain unorganised, highlighting significant scope for digital platforms.

CarzBazzar's asset-light model combines automotive commerce, dealer connectivity and technology rather than relying heavily on physical infrastructure. The company currently operates across Gujarat and Delhi-NCR and is expanding into Mumbai and Pune, with Punjab and Haryana planned next. Its long-term objective is to build a pan-India automotive technology ecosystem.

A key component is its CB+ Pro SaaS platform, which helps dealers manage inventory, websites, leads, bidding, accounts, agreements, invoices and billing. The platform displays more than 1,293 dealers and 10,948 cars online, while CB+ Pro is advertised at ₹999 a month. The company says its wider ecosystem has connected more than 1,500 dealers.

Transparency is another major focus. CarzBazzar offers a 150-point vehicle inspection, dealer bidding, same-day payments and RC-transfer assistance. Its platform says sellers can receive bids from more than 500 verified dealers, with payments generally processed within two to four hours after acceptance.

The company's expansion comes as India's used-car market is projected to reach 9–10 million annual transactions by FY31, compared with around six million in FY26, with market value potentially reaching $68–78 billion. Shorter ownership cycles, rising incomes, financing access and first-time buyers are supporting demand. Research indicates 80–82% of used-car buyers are first-time car owners, while financing penetration has risen from 16% to 32% over five years.

Bhavesh Upadhyay, Managing Director, said technology, trust and the asset-light model form the company's core strategy, while CEO Jaypalsinh Saravaiya stressed operational discipline, accurate valuation and timely payments.

However, the company will need to demonstrate that its model can scale consistently across new markets while maintaining inspection standards, inventory efficiency and customer trust. The 1,000-car figure refers to stocked vehicles, not necessarily sales, while the ₹150-crore valuation is company-reported.

CarzBazzar's next phase will therefore test whether its combination of SaaS, dealer connectivity and used-car commerce can evolve into a sustainable pan-India automotive technology network.
