Chhattisgarh received FDI proposals worth Rs 43,250 crore at the inaugural Singapore-India Network for Growth (SING) Forum 2026, including a Rs 41,750-crore proposal from Singapore-headquartered Energy Capital Global Pte Ltd for a 100 MW hyperscale data centre in the state.

Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai handed an “Investment Invitation Letter” to Energy Capital Global at the forum and invited Singapore-based investors to explore opportunities in Chhattisgarh. The proposed data centre is expected to support the state’s digital infrastructure and emerging technology sectors.

The state also received a Rs 1,500-crore investment commitment from a green-energy company for solar energy, battery storage and related components. Together, the proposals announced at the forum total Rs 43,250 crore.

Sai, who is on a four-day Singapore visit from October 3 to 6, highlighted Chhattisgarh’s industrial capabilities, natural resources and investment opportunities while addressing industry representatives at the forum. He said the state was seeking investments across areas including technology, green energy, logistics, industrial infrastructure and urban development.

The SING Forum is a business platform aimed at strengthening economic engagement between Singapore and India. Discussions at the event covered potential cooperation in technology and professional capability centres, logistics, green energy, industrial infrastructure and urban development.

On the sidelines of the forum, Sai held meetings focused on industrial wastewater reuse and opportunities in food processing, according to the government. He also discussed cooperation with Singapore’s Gardens by the Bay on horticulture, conservation, urban greening and ecotourism, for possible applications in Nava Raipur.

The government said Chhattisgarh has undertaken more than 450 reforms aimed at easing investment. Sai cited investment proposals exceeding Rs 8 lakh crore received by the state over the past 18 months.

On October 6, Sai was scheduled to participate in a CEO roundtable with Singapore-based companies and investment institutions during the visit.

The data-centre proposal and green-energy commitment add to Chhattisgarh’s efforts to attract foreign investment in digital infrastructure, renewable energy and other emerging sectors.
