China Shock 2.0: Europe Faces Rising Pressure from Surge in Chinese Exports

Europe is increasingly grappling with the impact of what economists describe as “China Shock 2.0,” as a surge in Chinese exports intensifies pressure on the continent’s manufacturing sector and prompts calls for stronger trade protections.

Despite years of U.S. tariffs and trade restrictions , China’s industrial dominance remains largely intact. Instead of relying on the American market, Chinese manufacturers have redirected exports toward Europe and other Asian economies.
