Chintalapudi Bus Stand Modernised at ₹30 Lakh Cost, Inaugurated by MLA Roshan Kumar

In a move aimed at improving public transportation infrastructure and enhancing the travel experience for commuters, the newly modernised APSRTC bus stand in Chintalapudi was inaugurated on Monday by local MLA Songa Roshan Kumar . The renovation works, completed at a cost of ₹30 lakh , are expected to provide better amenities and a more comfortable environment for thousands of passengers who rely on the facility every day.

The upgraded bus stand is part of ongoing efforts to strengthen transport infrastructure in the region and improve access to quality public services. As an important transit point in Eluru district , the Chintalapudi bus station serves passengers travelling to various towns and villages, making its modernisation a significant development for the constituency.

Following the inauguration, Roshan Kumar toured the premises and inspected the newly developed facilities. He reviewed the amenities created for passengers and interacted with officials regarding the maintenance and operation of the upgraded infrastructure. The MLA instructed transport authorities to ensure that commuters receive efficient and quality services and that the facility remains clean, safe and commuter-friendly.

Addressing the gathering, Roshan Kumar said the coalition government is committed to providing better infrastructure and strengthening essential public services across Andhra Pradesh. He noted that public transportation remains a vital component of regional development, connecting people to education, employment, healthcare and business opportunities.

"The government is taking concrete steps to improve infrastructure and public amenities. Strengthening the transport network is an important part of that vision," he said. He added that all major development works required for the Chintalapudi constituency would be taken up in a phased manner to ensure balanced and sustainable growth.

The MLA also emphasised that investments in transport infrastructure not only improve passenger convenience but also contribute to economic activity by enhancing connectivity between rural and urban areas. Improved bus stations and transport facilities, he said, play a key role in supporting mobility and fostering development.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by the RTC District Public Transport Officer , the local Depot Manager , senior APSRTC officials, public representatives and leaders of coalition parties. A large number of party workers and local residents also participated in the programme.

With the completion of the modernisation project, the Chintalapudi bus stand is expected to emerge as a more efficient and passenger-friendly transport hub, reflecting the government's broader focus on upgrading public infrastructure and improving service delivery across the state.
