
Christopher Nolan, Tom Holland Land in Mumbai for 'The Odyssey' India Premiere
Oscar-winning filmmaker Christopher Nolan and Hollywood actor Tom Holland arrived in Mumbai on Friday, setting the stage for a landmark moment in Indian cinema as the city prepares to host the official India premiere of Nolan's much-awaited epic, "The Odyssey."
Videos circulating on social media captured Holland arriving at the iconic Taj Mahal Palace hotel, where enthusiastic photographers and fans gathered to welcome the young star. Nolan, accompanied by his wife and longtime producing partner Emma Thomas , was also seen entering the hotel. Hollywood actor Matt Damon , who headlines the film, has joined the team as part of the movie's global promotional tour.
The visit is significant because "The Odyssey" becomes the first Christopher Nolan film to receive an official premiere in India . Universal Pictures International has included Mumbai among the select cities on the film's worldwide premiere circuit, alongside London, Paris and New York , highlighting the growing importance of the Indian market for global cinema.
The premiere is scheduled to take place on Saturday at PVR Icon IMAX, Phoenix Palladium, Mumbai .
Written and directed by Nolan, the film adapts Homer's timeless epic and follows the legendary Greek hero Odysseus on his arduous ten-year journey home after the fall of Troy. Damon portrays Odysseus, while Holland plays his son Telemachus .

Shot across multiple countries using newly developed IMAX technology, the production is being described as the first feature film captured entirely with IMAX cameras .
