
CIK Conducts Multi-District Raids Across Kashmir in UAPA Case Investigation
The Counter Intelligence Kashmir (CIK) wing of the Jammu and Kashmir Police on Saturday carried out searches at multiple locations across the Valley as part of an ongoing investigation into a case registered under the stringent Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) .
Officials said CIK teams conducted raids at five locations spread across four districts Srinagar, Ganderbal, Kupwara and Anantnag. The searches were carried out in connection with FIR No. 7/2023 registered at the Joint Investigation Centre (JIC) CIK Police Station, Srinagar .
According to officials, the operation was aimed at gathering evidence and furthering the investigation into activities suspected to have links with offences covered under the UAPA. The authorities, however, did not disclose details regarding the individuals or premises targeted during the searches.
The raids were underway when the latest reports came in, with officials maintaining that further details would be shared after the completion of the investigation process.
