
CJI Surya Kant to Inaugurate Gurugram's 'Tower of Justice' on July 12
Preparations are in full swing for the inauguration of Gurugram's new District and Sessions Court Complex , known as the 'Tower of Justice,' which will be formally inaugurated on July 12 by Chief Justice of India (CJI) Surya Kant .
Ahead of the landmark event, Justice Harsimran Singh of the Punjab and Haryana High Court , along with Justice Rohit Kapoor , Chairperson of the High Court's Building Committee and Inspecting Judge for the Gurugram Division, and committee member Justice Aradhana Sawhney , conducted a detailed inspection of the newly constructed judicial complex on Saturday.
According to an official statement, the judges reviewed the progress of the remaining work and directed officials to complete all pending tasks within the stipulated timeframe to ensure the venue is fully prepared for the inauguration.
The judges also assessed arrangements for security, traffic management, parking, seating, cleanliness, and protocol compliance , stressing that every aspect of the event must be meticulously planned. With dignitaries from the Supreme Court of India , the Punjab and Haryana High Court , the district judiciary, and other sectors expected to attend, officials were instructed to ensure seamless coordination among all departments.
Emphasising the importance of visitor convenience, the judges directed authorities to maintain a well-organised, secure, and efficiently managed environment throughout the ceremony. They said all departments must work in close coordination to deliver a dignified and memorable inauguration.
The 'Tower of Justice' is expected to significantly strengthen Gurugram's judicial infrastructure by providing a modern and integrated court complex designed to improve the functioning of the district judiciary and enhance access to justice for litigants, lawyers, and court staff.
The inauguration by CJI Surya Kant marks a significant milestone for Haryana's judicial system, underscoring the judiciary's continued focus on expanding modern court infrastructure and improving the delivery of justice through better facilities and administrative efficiency.
