CJP's Dipke Calls for Immediate Farmer Relief, Questions ECI's Actions in Bengal

Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) founder Abhijeet Dipke on Saturday urged the Maharashtra government to take immediate steps to provide relief to farmers facing drought-like conditions in several parts of the state, particularly in the Vidarbha region.

Speaking to reporters during his visit to Sevagram Ashram in Wardha, Dipke said the situation faced by farmers in Vidarbha was worsening and warned that the crisis could intensify over the next one to two months if prompt measures were not taken.

"The state government should pay attention to the issues faced by farmers. The situation in Vidarbha is getting worse," he said.

Dipke called for immediate government intervention to prevent the situation from deteriorating further and urged authorities to take steps to protect farmers from the impact of the dry spell.

He said timely assistance was necessary to ensure that farmers did not take any extreme step amid mounting difficulties.

Dipke also launched a sharp attack on the Election Commission of India (ECI) over its decision concerning the split in the Trinamool Congress.

Referring to the ECI's action during the West Bengal bypolls, as well as the arrest of Congress candidate Milan Pradhan ahead of voting scheduled for October 6, Dipke criticised Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar.

"Kumar should join the BJP openly rather than working for it from behind," he said, alleging that the poll panel's actions were benefiting the ruling party.

Dipke further claimed that Kumar deserved credit for helping the BJP secure electoral victories and for contributing to splits in other political organisations.

"How long will Amit Shah and Narendra Modi take credit for BJP's poll wins?" he asked, referring to the Union ministers while reiterating his criticism of the CEC.

The CJP founder also visited Bapu Kuti at Sevagram Ashram and held discussions with students during his visit.
