CM Chandrababu, Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan To Launch Palle Panduga 3.0 In Udayagiri

Andhra Pradesh is set to launch the third phase of its rural infrastructure drive, with ₹11,085 crore worth of development works to be taken up under ‘Palle Panduga 3.0’. Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan will launch the programme at Udayagiri in Nellore district on September 29.

The initiative focuses on strengthening basic infrastructure in villages, with major works planned in roads, livestock facilities, horticulture and drainage.

Of the proposed works, ₹2,700 crore will be spent on constructing around 6,000 km of cement concrete roads, while another ₹7,550 crore has been earmarked for 9,500 km of BT roads. The government is also planning to construct 22,000 mini Gokulams at a cost of ₹300 crore to support dairy farmers and improve livestock facilities.

Under the horticulture component, plantation and orchard development activities will cover 50,000 acres, with ₹225 crore allocated for the programme. Another ₹110 crore will be used to build 1,000 km of magic drains in villages to improve drainage and sanitation.

The package also includes ₹200 crore for bus shelters, gram panchayat buildings, Rachabandas and other village-level infrastructure.

The government said the ₹11,085-crore package will include ₹5,391 crore from the Centre and ₹5,694 crore from the state government. Additional works will also be taken up through other funding channels, including ₹1,750 crore under VB-G RAM G, ₹3,800 crore through the Global Horticulture Hub and another ₹2,000 crore through NABARD, SASCI and other sources.

The government is positioning Palle Panduga 3.0 as an expansion of the earlier phases. Under Palle Panduga 1.0, works included 4,000 km of CC roads, 22,514 cattle sheds, 21,000 farm ponds and horticulture development across 64,000 acres.

The second phase saw 2,500 km of CC roads and 8,300 km of BT roads, besides thousands of cattle sheds and water troughs, farm ponds, individual soak pits and magic drains.

Through the latest phase, the government aims to further improve village connectivity and basic amenities, while supporting farmers and dairy producers through better rural infrastructure.
