CM Prajavani Gets Dedicated Meeseva Centre in Hyderabad

The Telangana Government has strengthened its flagship CM Prajavani public grievance redressal programme by inaugurating a dedicated Meeseva Centre at Jyotiba Phule Praja Bhavan in Hyderabad, enabling citizens to access government services and submit welfare-related applications at a single location.

The facility was inaugurated on Tuesday by Dr G. Chinna Reddy, Vice-Chairman of the Telangana State Planning Commission and Prajavani in-charge, in the presence of State Nodal Officer K. Vidyasagar and Meeseva Director Ravikiran. Officials said the initiative is aimed at making government services more accessible to people travelling from different parts of the state to attend the weekly grievance redressal programme.

The newly established centre will allow applicants to submit requests for Indiramma Housing Scheme benefits, obtain various government certificates, and access a range of citizen services available through the Meeseva platform. By integrating service delivery with the grievance mechanism, the government expects to reduce delays and minimise the need for citizens to visit multiple government offices for related services.

Tuesday's CM Prajavani programme received a total of 321 petitions, with Dr G. Chinna Reddy and K. Vidyasagar personally interacting with applicants and reviewing their grievances. The officials also contacted the concerned departments over the phone and directed them to take prompt action to resolve pending issues.

Among the departments, the Panchayat Raj and Rural Development Department received the highest number of representations at 144, followed by the Revenue Department (51), Home Department (25), and Pravasi Prajavani (2), while the remaining 99 petitions pertained to other government departments.

During the programme, contingency employees working in police stations across Telangana appealed for the release of their pending 18 months' salaries. Taking immediate cognisance of the issue, Dr G. Chinna Reddy spoke with Director General of Police C.V. Anand urged him to ensure that the employees' dues are cleared at the earliest.
