Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has directed municipal authorities to accelerate efforts to transform Hyderabad into a cleaner, well-maintained city with smoother traffic movement, stressing that effective civic management and long-term infrastructure planning must be prioritised. He instructed officials to ensure that garbage is not allowed to accumulate anywhere in the city and that door-to-door waste collection takes place every day. He also warned that negligence in maintaining sanitation standards would invite strict action against the officials concerned.

During a review meeting with senior Municipal Administration Department officials at his Jubilee Hills residence, the Chief Minister examined various civic issues, including waste management, water conservation and traffic congestion. He called for dedicated arrangements to collect and transport construction debris to prevent it from being dumped indiscriminately in public spaces. He also stressed the need for coordination with Industrial Local Authority officials to improve waste collection in industrial areas falling under municipal limits.

On water conservation, Revanth Reddy directed officials to reduce the use of drinking water for construction activities, park maintenance, landscaping and gardening. Instead, he called for greater utilisation of treated wastewater from Sewage Treatment Plants (STPs) for such purposes. He asked officials to create awareness among residents, construction agencies and other stakeholders about the Green Water Tanker services launched to supply recycled water.

The Chief Minister noted that the Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board had initially introduced 28 Green Water Tankers operating from 19 STPs. He directed officials to expand the initiative beyond the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) to cover the Cyberabad Municipal Corporation (CMC) and Malkajgiri Municipal Corporation (MMC) jurisdictions.

Addressing the city's persistent traffic problems, the Chief Minister called for permanent solutions to congestion and directed officials to prepare infrastructure plans for underpasses and elevated corridors at locations requiring them. He emphasised the need to develop a signal-free road network wherever feasible so that vehicles can move without unnecessary stoppages.

MP Vem Narender Reddy, along with senior officials from the Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) and municipal corporations, attended the meeting.
