CM Revanth Reddy Invited to Ganpati Navratri Celebrations at Secunderabad Temple

Ganpati festival celebrations have begun across Telangana, with streets and neighbourhoods taking on a festive atmosphere ahead of Vinayaka Chavithi on September 14. Preparations are in full swing for the nine-day Ganpati Navratri festivities, with devotees getting ready to mark the occasion with religious fervour, elaborate decorations and traditional celebrations.

As part of the preparations, the management committee of the Sri Ganesh Temple in Secunderabad extended an invitation to Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy to attend the temple’s upcoming Ganpati Navratri celebrations. The invitation was formally presented during a meeting at the Chief Minister’s chamber in the Telangana Legislative Assembly.

Members of the temple committee, along with priests from the temple and the Endowments Department Commissioner, met Revanth Reddy and handed over the invitation card. The meeting was part of the temple authorities’ efforts to invite prominent public representatives to the celebrations and apprise them of the arrangements being made for the festival.

The nine-day festivities are expected to bring together devotees for a series of religious activities and celebrations at the Secunderabad temple. With Ganpati celebrations gaining momentum across the state, temples and community organisers have been making preparations to accommodate devotees and conduct the festivities in a grand manner.

The meeting was attended by Minister Ponnam Prabhakar and Minister Adluri Laxman Kumar, besides several Members of the Legislative Assembly. Their presence underscored the significance attached to the annual Ganpati celebrations, which are observed with enthusiasm by devotees across Hyderabad and other parts of Telangana.

The invitation comes as preparations for Vinayaka Chavithi enter their final phase. The festival marks the beginning of a period of worship dedicated to Lord Ganesha, with devotees installing idols and organising prayers and cultural programmes as part of the celebrations.

In Hyderabad, Secunderabad and several other parts of Telangana, Ganpati festivities traditionally draw large numbers of devotees. The nine-day celebrations culminate with the immersion of Ganesha idols, bringing the festival to a close.

The Sri Ganesh Temple in Secunderabad is now gearing up for its own series of Navratri celebrations, with the temple committee extending a formal invitation to the Chief Minister as preparations gather pace.
