
CM Revanth Reddy Meets Cambridge University Academic Team In London
Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy held discussions with an academic delegation from the University of Cambridge in London as part of the Telangana Rising delegation’s efforts to build global partnerships in education, research and innovation.
The meeting was attended by Telangana IT and Industries Minister D. Sridhar Babu and senior officials K. Ramakrishna Rao and Jayesh Ranjan. The delegation explored opportunities to establish a world-class education, research and innovation ecosystem in Hyderabad.
Revanth Reddy invited leading international universities and research institutions to expand their presence in Hyderabad and contribute to the development of the city as a global knowledge hub. He emphasised the state government’s interest in creating stronger links between academia, industry, research and entrepreneurship.
Representing Cambridge Judge Business School, Professor Jaideep Prabhu, Jawaharlal Nehru Professor of Indian Business and Enterprise, and Professor Venkat Gandikota expressed interest in exploring collaboration with Telangana.
The two sides agreed to work towards a specific roadmap for future cooperation. Potential areas include conducting academic programmes in Hyderabad, promoting joint research initiatives, supporting startups and entrepreneurs, and developing incubation programmes.
Officials said the proposed partnership could strengthen Telangana’s capabilities in higher education, research and innovation while creating new opportunities for students, researchers, startups and businesses.
The engagement is part of Telangana’s broader effort to attract global institutions and expertise to Hyderabad and position the city as an international centre for knowledge, technology and innovation.
