CM Revanth Reddy Meets Central Ministers to Push Telangana Projects

Telangana Chief Minister E. Revanth Reddy requested that 98.20 acres of Defence Department land at the Esa–Musi river confluence be transferred to the Telangana government to facilitate the construction of the Gandhi Sarovar Project . He emphasized that the project, besides being a water reservoir, will serve as a tribute to Mahatma Gandhi’s ashes , which are immersed there.

During the meeting, he also presented the Telangana Vision Document–2047, highlighting the state’s long-term development goals.

The CM held discussions with other central ministers on Mamunoor Airport , the Krishna–Vikarabad rail line, and crop security. He urged immediate construction of the airport with cargo and maintenance facilities for Warangal, Khammam, Nalgonda, and Karimnagar districts. On rail projects, he requested full central funding for the Krishna–Vikarabad line and integration with high-speed rail corridors from Hyderabad to Chennai, Bangalore, and Pune via Shamshabad Airport.

On agriculture, he sought procurement of an additional 18 lakh metric tonnes of grain and approval for 10 lakh metric tonnes of boiled rice milling for 2024–25. Pending payments under the PM Garib Kalyan Yojana were also discussed.

During his Delhi trip, the CM met Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and K.C. Venugopal to review Telangana’s municipal elections and preparations for upcoming Greater elections.
