CM Revanth Reddy Orders Survey to Trace 45 Missing Acres in Erravalli
Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has directed officials to immediately issue a survey notification to trace and identify 45 acres of missing land in Erravalli and the surrounding areas of Venkatapur village in Markook mandal of Siddipet district. The direction came during a review of the inquiry into the disputed land records and the status of lands covered under Section 22-A.
The Chief Minister had ordered an inquiry into the 22-A lands issue following a discussion in the State Assembly on September 16. He reviewed the progress of the investigation at a meeting held at the Bodhi Pavilion in MCRHRD, attended by Chief Secretary Sanjay Jaju, CMO Principal Secretary Seshadri and members of committees constituted to examine alleged land irregularities and issues concerning Dharani.
Committee members presented details of the investigation and field-level surveys completed so far. As part of the probe ordered last September into alleged irregularities involving lands around the farmhouse of former Chief Minister and BRS president K. Chandrashekar Rao, revenue officials carried out a re-survey in Erravalli and surrounding Venkatapur areas.
The survey brought attention to a discrepancy in Survey No. 325 at Erravalli. Official records show that the survey number covers 388 acres. However, revenue officials could locate only 343 acres during the field verification, leaving 45 acres unaccounted for.
Revanth Reddy instructed officials to conduct a comprehensive survey across Erravalli and the surrounding areas of Venkatapur to determine the status and location of the missing land. He directed them to issue the survey notification immediately and complete the exercise in accordance with the applicable procedures.
Officials informed the Chief Minister that properties linked to K. Chandrashekar Rao and his family members are located near Survey No. 325. They said notices would be served seeking the relevant land records relating to those properties.
The Chief Minister directed officials to distribute any land identified through the survey to eligible local farmers. He also called for the construction of a special Telangana Martyrs Colony for families of those who died during the Telangana movement. The colony is to include house sites and basic infrastructure, with the Housing Department tasked with completing the project by June 2.
Revanth Reddy also directed officials to establish a Young India Integrated School and Education Hub in Velikatta village of Kondapak mandal, excluding assigned lands and those earmarked for Mission Bhagiratha.
Amid concerns over the impact of El Niño, officials were asked to use reservoir and tank water judiciously. The Chief Minister further ordered authorities to identify unauthorised users of Mallanna Sagar water and take action as per the rules.
