The Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) , a youth-led movement that has rapidly evolved from an online campaign into a nationwide political mobilisation, has announced a major protest at Dharna Chowk in Hyderabad on June 14. The demonstration, scheduled to begin at 10 a.m., forms part of the group's expanding nationwide campaign focused on education reforms, examination transparency, recruitment delays and youth employment concerns.

The Hyderabad rally is one of several protests planned across the country. The campaign officially commenced in Pune on June 11 and will continue through cities including Lucknow, Amritsar, Bengaluru and Jaipur before culminating in a large gathering at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi on June 20. Organisers have called on students, job aspirants and young professionals to participate in what they describe as a peaceful democratic movement for systemic change.

Speaking at the launch of the campaign in Pune, Abhijeet Dipke , founder of the movement, unveiled the party's education manifesto and reiterated demands for greater accountability in the education sector. The manifesto calls for stronger safeguards against exam paper leaks , timely declaration of examination results, transparent recruitment processes and reforms aimed at protecting students from administrative failures.

The movement first drew national attention during a protest at Jantar Mantar on June 6, where participants wearing cockroach masks demanded the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over examination-related controversies. Protesters argued that recurring allegations of paper leaks, delayed recruitment drives and uncertainty surrounding competitive examinations have undermined the confidence of millions of students and job seekers.

What distinguishes the CJP from many issue-based campaigns is its attempt to transform widespread online frustration into an organised political platform. The movement has gained significant traction on social media by connecting concerns over education governance with broader issues such as unemployment and delayed government hiring.

With support growing across several states, the Hyderabad protest is expected to serve as another key milestone in the group's effort to build a nationwide youth movement centred on accountability, transparency and opportunities for India's younger generation.
