Cockroach Janta Party To Hold Protest In Nagpur Today
The Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) will stage a protest in Nagpur today, intensifying its ongoing campaign demanding the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over alleged irregularities in the NEET UG paper leak controversy , party founder Abhijeet Dipke has said.
Dipke announced through a video message on social media that he will arrive in Nagpur on June 16 and urged students, youth, and residents to gather at Samvidhan Square at 4 pm for a peaceful demonstration. The party has maintained that the agitation will remain non-violent and focused on accountability in the education system.
According to CJP’s broader mobilisation drive, the Nagpur protest is part of a nationwide agitation campaign that began earlier this month with demonstrations in cities including Delhi, Pune, and Jaipur. The movement has already seen large student participation, with some rallies drawing thousands of supporters.
Party organisers said they have also coordinated with local student networks and coaching institutes to facilitate participation, especially among NEET aspirants, many of whom continue to express concerns over exam integrity and recruitment fairness.
The CJP, a youth-driven political movement that gained rapid online traction, has been campaigning since May on issues related to exam leaks , education reforms , and alleged systemic failures in competitive testing mechanisms. In earlier protests, Dipke had warned of expanding demonstrations across multiple states if demands for ministerial resignation were not met.
The Nagpur mobilisation is expected to include supporters from nearby districts as part of the party’s broader strategy to sustain pressure on the Centre over what it calls repeated failures in safeguarding examination credibility.
