In a unique initiative aimed at strengthening government education and motivating young learners, district collectors across Telangana stepped beyond their administrative roles and into classrooms, directly engaging with students and even teaching lessons.

The visits, conducted in different districts, reflected the state government's growing emphasis on improving learning outcomes, boosting student confidence, and enhancing the overall quality of education in government schools.

In Narayanpet district, Collector C.H. Priyanka visited the primary school in Tipras village of Utkoor mandal. Interacting closely with students, she assessed their learning levels and encouraged them to develop a greater interest in education. Her interaction focused on creating a positive learning environment and motivating children to pursue their studies with enthusiasm.

Jangaon District Collector Sandeep Kumar Jha visited the Kasturba Gandhi Girls' School, Model School, and the girls' hostel at Kodakandla. During his visit, he spent time speaking with students about their academic aspirations and personally conducted mathematics lessons. The initiative was aimed at helping students overcome academic fears and build confidence in their abilities.

In Hanamkonda district, Collector Chahat Bajpai carried out surprise inspections at primary and high schools in Jeelgul village. He interacted with both teachers and students, reviewed educational activities, and assessed the standards of teaching and learning being maintained in the institutions. The visit also provided an opportunity to identify areas that require improvement.

Meanwhile, Mahabubabad District Collector Sneha Sabareesh visited the Government Boys Junior College, where she held discussions with students about their higher education goals and future career ambitions. She also participated in classroom teaching activities, encouraging students to remain focused on their academic journey and strive for excellence.

Officials said such direct engagement by senior administrators sends a strong message about the importance of education and reinforces the government's commitment to providing quality learning opportunities to every child. Beyond monitoring infrastructure and academic performance, the collectors' interactions served as a source of encouragement for students, many of whom rarely get an opportunity to interact closely with senior government officials.

Education experts believe that when district administrators personally visit schools and interact with students, it not only strengthens accountability within the education system but also helps build confidence among learners and teachers alike.

The initiative has been widely appreciated by local communities, with many viewing it as a positive step towards improving public confidence in government schools. By taking on the role of educators, even briefly, the collectors demonstrated that leadership in education extends beyond policy-making and administration; it also involves inspiring young minds and nurturing aspirations for a brighter future.
