
CPR Hero: Constable Saves Electrical Worker’s Life in Dramatic Rescue
A Hyderabad police constable’s quick response proved lifesaving after a contract worker suffered a severe electric shock during repair work near Karwan .
The incident occurred close to the Kummarawadi Hanuman temple , where a TGSPDCL employee was engaged in electrical maintenance. In a sudden accident, he came into contact with a live wire and collapsed immediately.
Constable B. Suresh of the Tappachabutra police station , who was on BC-I patrol duty nearby, rushed to the spot without delay. He found the worker in a critical condition, unconscious and without any detectable pulse or breathing .
Realizing the emergency, the constable immediately began CPR at the scene. He continued the life-saving procedure for several tense minutes, refusing to wait for further assistance.
His swift action made the difference. The worker gradually regained vital signs before being moved to a nearby hospital for advanced treatment.
Doctors later confirmed that timely CPR during the “ golden hour ” was crucial in saving the man’s life. Locals and officials praised Constable Suresh for his presence of mind and commitment, calling it a strong example of humane policing and duty-driven service.
