Cyberabad Commissioner Reviews Development Projects in Kakatiya Hills, Madhapur
The Cyberabad Municipal Corporation Commissioner inspected ongoing development works in Kakatiya Hills and Madhapur on Monday and reviewed measures needed to improve road connectivity and public infrastructure in the surrounding areas. Accompanied by the Kukatpally Zone Superintending Engineer and the Madhapur Circle Deputy Commissioner, the Commissioner visited various locations and assessed the requirements for improving road access and addressing infrastructure-related issues.
During the field inspection, the Commissioner focused on strengthening connectivity between different stretches of Kakatiya Hills. Officials were instructed to develop a link road from Kakatiya Hills Road No. 11 towards Roads No. 3 and 7 through the mosque land. The proposed connection is aimed at improving movement between the residential areas and easing pressure on existing roads.
The Commissioner also directed officials to identify the road stretch between Sunna Cheruvu Signal and the lake and take steps to improve its condition. Authorities were asked to remove encroachments along the identified stretch and address parking-related problems that are affecting traffic movement in the area.
Another key instruction concerned the road connecting the Sunna Cheruvu culvert, Godavari Cuts and Parvathnagar Junction. Officials were directed to take up BT road recarpeting along the stretch to improve riding conditions and strengthen the road network.
The inspection also covered pedestrian infrastructure. The Commissioner instructed officials to examine the feasibility of developing a footpath from the Hi-Tech City flyover to RRR Bar. A proposal is to be prepared after widening the required portion of the road to accommodate the pedestrian facility.
At Kakatiya Hills Road No. 11, officials were asked to provide fencing along the area adjoining Wakf Board land using precast walls. The measure is intended to clearly demarcate the land and prevent unauthorised use of the site.
The Commissioner directed officials to complete all identified development works within the stipulated deadlines, or earlier wherever feasible. He also stressed the need for continuous monitoring and regular follow-up to ensure that projects do not face unnecessary delays.
Officials were further instructed to conduct frequent field inspections and address problems at the ground level without waiting for them to escalate. The Commissioner emphasised that timely intervention and close supervision would be essential for improving infrastructure and ensuring better public access in the Kakatiya Hills and Madhapur areas.
