Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan Applauds Government School After Admissions Close Due to High Demand
In a development that highlights the growing confidence in government-run education, a district-level government school in Andhra Pradesh's Pithapuram constituency has reportedly stopped accepting new admissions after filling all available seats for the upcoming academic year.
The Mulapeta Zilla Parishad High School , which earned recognition for its outstanding academic performance in the previous academic year, has witnessed a sharp rise in demand from parents seeking admission for their children. The school achieved some of the best results in Class 10 and Intermediate examinations in Kakinada district, drawing widespread attention to its academic standards.
According to officials, the surge in admissions has resulted in all seats being filled from Class 7 to Intermediate First Year (BiPC stream) . With no vacancies remaining, the school management has displayed a "No Admission" board outside the campus, indicating that admissions for those classes have been closed.
The achievement has drawn praise from Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan , who described the development as a strong example of what government schools can accomplish when quality education is consistently delivered. He noted that institutions offering high academic standards can attract students on par with leading private and corporate schools.
Pawan Kalyan congratulated the school's teaching and non-teaching staff for their contribution to the institution's success. He said the remarkable results were made possible through the dedication of teachers, innovative teaching methods and the continuous support provided by the entire school team.
Expressing appreciation for the efforts that transformed the school into one of the most sought-after educational institutions in the region, the Deputy Chief Minister thanked everyone associated with its progress. He also announced that he would personally visit the school during his next tour of Pithapuram.
In a statement issued by the Deputy Chief Minister's Office, Pawan Kalyan urged other government schools in the constituency to draw inspiration from the achievements of Mulapeta Zilla Parishad High School and strive for similar standards of academic excellence. The school's success, he said, demonstrates the potential of public education when committed educators and supportive staff work together toward a common goal.
