Comprehensive development of villages and towns is possible only when the NDA holds power at the Centre, in the state and in local bodies, senior Telugu Desam Party (TDP) leader Devineni Uma said. He called on party leaders and workers to coordinate their efforts to ensure the victory of candidates fielded by the TDP-Jana Sena-BJP alliance in the Mandapeta municipal elections.

Devineni Uma made these remarks during a meeting at the TDP office in Mandapeta, East Godavari district, where he joined MLA Vegulla Jogeswara Rao and RUDA Chairman and district TDP president Boddu Venkataramana Chowdary to review the alliance's election preparations. The discussions focused on campaign planning, ward-level outreach, voter mobilisation and strategies to strengthen the alliance's prospects in the municipal polls.

The senior TDP leader emphasised that coordination between the central, state and local governments was essential to ensuring that development programmes reached people effectively. He said the NDA's presence in power at the Centre and in Andhra Pradesh had created opportunities for the state to advance its development agenda.

Uma said the alliance's victory in the Mandapeta municipal elections would help accelerate development initiatives and ensure that local administration worked in coordination with the state and central governments. He stressed that the alliance's objective was not limited to winning the elections but also included improving the town's development prospects and addressing residents' needs.

The leaders also discussed the importance of taking the alliance's message directly to voters and ensuring effective coordination among party workers across individual wards. The campaign, they indicated, would focus on securing public support for the alliance's candidates and strengthening its presence in the municipality.

As part of the election preparations, Devineni Uma distributed party B-forms to municipal chairperson candidate Vegulla Ajay Kumar and the candidates contesting councillor positions. The distribution formalised the party's support for the nominees as the alliance prepared to intensify its campaign.

Uma urged TDP, Jana Sena and BJP leaders and workers to work together, maintain coordination and make concerted efforts to secure victory in the municipal elections. He reiterated that a triple-engine government, with the NDA governing at all three levels, would provide a stronger foundation for the comprehensive development of Mandapeta and other local bodies.
