Did Raashii Khanna’s Deleted Photo Confirm Ram Pothineni’s Role in Rajinikanth’s Dharman?

The long-standing speculation over Ram Pothineni’s presence in Rajinikanth’s Dharman appears to have finally ended. On September 29, actress Raashii Khanna shared a series of pictures from the film’s ongoing Mysuru schedule, with one photo featuring herself alongside Rajinikanth and Ram Pothineni. Although the picture was later deleted, it had already caught the attention of fans and effectively confirmed Ram’s casting.

Raashii’s Instagram carousel offered a glimpse into her time in Mysuru, including early-morning workouts, temple visits, UNO sessions and local food. In her caption, she specifically mentioned working out with Rajinikanth and Ram, providing further confirmation of Ram’s involvement in the project. The film is currently progressing with its fourth shooting schedule in Mysuru, which is expected to run for around 10 days.

Ram’s casting had been widely discussed for several weeks. Earlier reports suggested that he could play Raashii Khanna’s love interest and Rajinikanth’s son-in-law, while other reports described him as the film’s key antagonist. Those character details, however, have not been officially confirmed by the makers.

Directed by Ashwath Marimuthu, Dharman marks Rajinikanth’s 173rd film. The project is backed by Kamal Haasan’s Raaj Kamal Films International along with R Mahendran’s Turmeric Media. The cast also includes Simran and Yogi Babu, while Simran and Rajinikanth reunite after Petta (2019).

Rajinikanth plays a doctor in the film, which has been described as a family-oriented thriller with action elements. Anirudh Ravichander is composing the music, with Niketh Bommi handling cinematography, Pradeep E Ragav editing and Anbariv overseeing the action choreography. The makers are yet to announce an official release date.

With Ram Pothineni now confirmed as part of the cast, audiences are keen to learn more about his character and his connection with Rajinikanth’s role in Dharman.
