After winning attention for her portrayal of Jayamma in 'Ranabaali', Rashmika Mandanna is gearing up to surprise audiences with a fierce, action-packed avatar in 'Mysaa'. The upcoming Telugu action thriller has secured a major distribution deal, with ace producer and distributor Dil Raju acquiring its theatrical distribution rights in the Nizam and Uttarandhra regions.

Directed by Rawindra Pulle and produced by UnFormula Films, 'Mysaa' is being positioned as a female-led, pan-India action drama. Dil Raju's association marks an important development for the film's theatrical business as the makers prepare to take Rashmika's intense new character to audiences.

The film has already generated curiosity with its promotional material, particularly its teaser, which offers a glimpse into Rashmika's dramatic transformation. The actress plays a Gond tribal woman navigating a world of challenges, resistance and survival. The teaser showcases her in intense combat sequences, including a striking underwater scene, hinting at a physically demanding performance.

Rashmika's rugged appearance and action-heavy role mark a departure from some of her familiar on-screen portrayals. The actress has also expressed excitement about audiences experiencing the character's story, describing it as a journey filled with rage, pain, grief, courage and power.

The film features an ensemble cast that includes Samuthirakani, Rahul Ravindran, Eshwari Rao, Rao Ramesh, Tarak Ponnappa, Shiva Kandukuri, Karthik Ranjini and Nidhi Singh, among others. Jakes Bejoy is composing the music, while Shreyaas Krishna serves as the cinematographer. The film is written and directed by Rawindra Pulle, with Ajay Saipureddy, Anil Sayyapureddy and Veerasai Gopa backing the project under the UnFormula Films banner.

Meanwhile, the film's release plans have also attracted attention. The makers had announced a worldwide theatrical release for November 27, 2026, across Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam. However, a report published by TeluguCinema.com on October 20 suggested that the team was considering moving the release to late January 2027, reportedly because of the short gap between 'Ranabaali' and 'Mysaa'. An official postponement has not been confirmed.

With Dil Raju acquiring distribution rights in two key Telugu regions and anticipation building around Rashmika's action avatar, 'Mysaa' remains one of the actress's notable upcoming projects to watch.
