Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) founder Abhijeet Dipke was released on conditional bail on Saturday, a day after his detention ahead of the planned “Lehra Do Tiranga” rally in Delhi. All India Students’ Association (AISA) president Neha Bora was also released following her detention, while Delhi Police announced plans for multiple FIRs over Friday’s protest.

Dipke was produced before a Special Executive Magistrate at Mandir Marg Police Station, where he was granted conditional release after furnishing a peace bond. Reports said he was required to maintain peace and good behaviour for one year. Police had taken preventive action against him, citing concerns over a possible breach of peace.

Bora was released early Saturday after police completed the formalities related to her detention. Following her release, she criticised the handling of protesters and alleged that she had initially been prevented from consulting a lawyer. She said members of her legal team had spent several hours trying to reach her before they were allowed access. These allegations were made by Bora following her release.

Delhi Police also said it would register more than seven FIRs in connection with Friday’s demonstrations. Officials cited alleged violations of prohibitory orders and obstruction of public servants. Police said protesters were being identified with the help of social media footage. Reports said more than 100 people were detained during the demonstrations.
