DSC Recruitment Under Scanner: MLA Chandrasekhar Seeks Clarity
Alleging serious lapses in the DSC recruitment process, Yerragondapalem MLA Tatiparthi Chandrasekhar has called on the Andhra Pradesh government to clarify several issues raised by aspirants. He accused the administration of remaining silent on key concerns, saying the lack of transparency has intensified doubts over the fairness and credibility of the recruitment exercise.
The MLA questioned the involvement of an outsourcing employee at SCERT in an examination process that is expected to be conducted with the highest levels of confidentiality. He also sought an explanation for the decision to entrust question paper preparation and monitoring responsibilities to the SCERT Convener rather than the designated DSC Convener, saying the arrangement has raised serious concerns.
Chandrasekhar further highlighted the case of Naveen , who reportedly secured first rank in Krishna district and sixth rank across the state but was allegedly denied appointment. According to him, conflicting explanations from the authorities have only deepened doubts about the selection process.
Citing concerns raised by candidates, the MLA called for a comprehensive investigation into suspected question paper leaks. He also pointed to repeated revisions of merit lists and the absence of publicly displayed selection lists at district collectorates as issues that warrant scrutiny.
Another area of concern, he said, is the enhancement of the sports quota from 2 percent to 3 percent through government orders. Chandrasekhar alleged that the change was introduced to benefit specific individuals before being subsequently withdrawn.
Stating that these developments have cast a shadow over the credibility of the recruitment exercise, the MLA urged the coalition government to address all pending questions and ensure complete transparency in the appointment process.
